This is part of a series made when marking covid. Giving a nod to old baluster jugs, made on the kick wheel and using clay from a clay pit thought to have been active since the Middle Ages, are the thoughts in suggesting a connection to the age old human battle with disease and pestilence. It feels heavier than it could be, the glaze is pitted and unpleasant, it has a presence. Maybe just right for Covid.
